Containing a tiny glass bottle, the vial is suspended from an elegant 'stirrup' which pivots on signature Ferian 9ct gold pins. Its reassuring weight is derived from traditional lost wax casting in solid sterling silver. Each component is individually hand polished and assembled by one master craftsperson in London. Hallmarked in Hatton Garden.
The Vial combines the essentials of dressing - jewellery and scent. It is accompanied by two stoppered glass bottles and a pipette ready to fill with your favourite signature scents.
Perfume originated over four thousand years ago and like jewellery has evolved to reflect our changing tastes in culture, style and values. Yet timeless, too, is the discerning continuity of process and ingredients that can be found in classic scents. Jasmine flowers are still culled by hand, roses picked at dawn, fragile Bergamot fruit harvested by hand, Neroli distilled from orange blossom and patchouli cured to conjure its earthy scent. This attention to an age-old process also reflects the traditions of lost wax casting, which have changed very little since ancient times, yielding a unique connection between object, maker and wearer.
Like the cologne, the vial is designed gender neutral.
